About Me

About me

Welcome to my blog! You may be wondering about me and why you should trust the advice of a tech executive on this random site. Allow me to “credentialize” myself, as we say in the IT consulting business.

I’ve been in the tech game for over 40 years now, starting out as a software engineer. Back in the day, I was fully focused on crafting cutting-edge online systems for big players in insurance and banking. As a young coder, my main drive was to make some cash – I mean, you should earn from what you enjoy, right? But guess what? Despite my passion for coding, I figured out it wasn’t going to rake in the income I was shooting for.

I was really into software development, so I thought about kicking off my own software company.

Actually, I did some freelance consulting for a while, but it got pretty frustrating. Each gig pulled me away from the learning I needed to keep up. Basically, companies hire freelancers for what they already know, so it was tough juggling staying updated and making a living.

After thinking it over, I figured I’d give working for someone else another shot. I hopped on board with a small software consulting company as a senior tech exec. My main aim was to flex my business-growing skills while dodging the risks of self-employment. Back when I was in India, I played a big part in spreading the company’s global wings. That role gave me a load of insights and opened doors to more opportunities elsewhere. It really shaped me into a seasoned tech executive, helping me snag better roles with my expertise.

With experience in building technology teams, programs, and businesses, I believe empowered and empathetic leadership drives cultural transformation.

Throughout my career, I have consistently achieved remarkable success in business growth and revenue expansion. I am a strong advocate for establishing a leadership team that champions and ingrains empathetic leadership principles within the organization. By placing the right individuals in the right roles and cultivating an environment where everyone can thrive doing what they love, we can pave the way for the organization’s success. After all, happy people have an incredible ability to create magic within companies.

My experience includes:

  • Program Director for large high technology company
  • Chief Operating Officer for a consulting company
  • Chief Information Officer for a 3000+ person organization
  • Chief Technology Officer for a $3B organization
  • Managing Director for a Big 4

Throughout my 40-year tech exec career, I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience. I warmly invite you to explore my blog and stay connected with my insightful posts.
